Processed with VSCO with c1 preset

These books was provided by Tiffany Daune for an honest review  of her novels, Her series currently have two books, Coral&Bone and Curses&Ash. Book 3 will be out coming spring 2017.

review: ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4.5/5 stars

This! This book is one of the awesome mermaid story book. I mean yeah, the cover is perfect and strong and what’s inside is really one of the strongest mermaid story I ever read.

I was thinking this kind of world in my head if someone ever created a world like this and didn’t know it did exsist! it was written by TIFFANY DAUN, like omigaaaad! Dream come true! (If you don’t know what I’m talking about, read it!)

I gave it 4.5 stars, I love the beginning of the story, it was fast paced like yeah, aha nahh! He! Boom! Boom! Pak! However, after that in the middle part of the story runs kinda slow for me. But I do understand since our protagonist Halen internalizing what’s happening to her. And as the “world” building process was introduced. And Im still enjoying because the essence of urban fantasy is still there. And it’s fun to read.

The book is well written, it was smart. I do love the characters and the villains! ohhhhh! I love how the author make the mermaids, sirens, shifters in a whole completely a TWIST! and those hunters?! One of the awesomest Hunters I ever read (it reminds me of vampire diaries season 7, the vampire huntress) and I think I would say this book is Hot!

Literally HOT! one of the breathtaking ending of a book! I wanna SCREAM for book 2!!

So yeah! It did hit my expectations!

review:  ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5/5 stars

I recommend this book to all who read the first book CORAL & BONE and who enjoyed it.

In this second instalment of the series, CURSES & ASH is definitely hotter than the first book, I mean by just looking at the cover, it’s so Hot! Literally on fire! Yes!

On this Fantastical world made by Tiffany Daune, our protagonist Helen has a problem of her own.

As the ending of book one. all characters though that Asair was defeated already, but instead He’s inside at Helen’s body. (Pretty awesome plot twist right? ) anyway, as the story goes by, Helen wants Asair out. She traveled to find the person who can help her. But Asair is not what we thought he is. (Ohhhhhlala! I like Asair!)

Struggles and conflicts is dramatic. You will read more and more, because it’s getting better & better.

My only issue on this book is it’s a lil bit to slow for me. that’s why character developments is also slow. But it did not affect why I gave it 5 Perfect stars, I just enjoyed this book than the 1st book and hoping the 3rd book will give me satisfaction since Tiffany did a mind blowing hanging ending again. Ugh!

…and oh! Some revelations on this books you will crave for more!

……….I’m guessing the color of book 3, it will be a GREEN maybe? Yay! I’m excited!!!

My review for ARLENE MANOCOT’S novel ðŸ’–

Processed with VSCO with c1 preset

I meet this Filipino  author from instagram and luckily she provided me a copies of her book to review.

So yahhhh! Here it goes…

review: ⭐⭐⭐3/5 stars

I started this book without knowing what genre is this. But so you know, it’s a suspense crime thingy. It’s my 1st time to read this kind of genre, and I’m a lil bit surprised that I enjoyed reading it since it’s not my cup of tea. But I might read more genres like this.

I honestly get bored at the introduction, I mean it’s a lil bit too slow for me (going to school, riding a Jeep, making out with a guy, eating, sleeping…etc) i dunno if the author intentionaly just portrayed her protagonist having a boring life and to think that the book is pretty skinny but i was empresed of the writing.

but as the story went on, I was shocked of what happened. I thought at first that this book is a contemporary genre but nahhh, as what I’ve said it’s a suspense-crime genre.

Halfway is getting interesting and you’ll get puzzeled, intrigued.

Margaux Dela Cruz is our protagonist, she’d have sex with Brad Summerhald a celebrity hunk who happens to be seen dead at her apartment. She was accused of murdering him but she need to prove her innocence.

I gave this book a 3 stars since I think it’s lack of plot twist? If the book is a lil bit thicker, I think the author can make more scenes, twists & turns. But still this book entertain me.

I recommend this book to all bookworms who wants to read a book on one sitting.

VENGEANCE: the Awakening
review : ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐5/5 stars

The Awakening: Vengeance is a surprising and mind blowing ride for me.

I do like this kind of style, A retelling that used Biblical story as a medium on a book in a darker way. Yay! (Well if you ask me what book I recommend like this, it is THE BLESSED by Tonya Hurley) I mean dark in a way that it’s so twisted.

The story goes like this…

What if Adam & Eve is reincarnated in our modern world? And think of Adam and Eve meets vampires!

Pretty awesome right? I find the the story interesting and so secretive. The writing style is okay but I find some words repetitive.

Anywaythis story is not for cutie patotie young teens, it’s for Mature audience. If you’re seeking for a kinda gore and a good imaginative sex, A Fresh plot twist, it’s definitely for you.

Review for WITCH HUNT & my coloring books projects

Hello bookish people or whoever you are, it’s been a long Time since I posted something here in my blog, I’m kinda busy with the coloring books project, before that, I’ll talk about first my review of WITCH HUNT by Lisa E.  Parry

This book was provided by the author for review, so I’ll review it as honest as I could be.

So here it goes.

This book is a lil bit too highscholie for me, but I do love how twisted it is. I thought it’s just all about witches but nope, it’s part of a society.

The story is started in a powerful book (it’s a grimoire or book of black magic) if it’s on a wrong hands it’ll be so dangerous.

The protagonist Melissa went to a bookshop, she bought a blank journal and it turns out it’s the book of black magic, she’s the only one who can see/read of what’s inside the book. She need to leave her family because someone or something is hunting her. Two strangers (Dorian & Cherri) try to save Melissa. Then She met this young men called Oliver that really blown my mind because I didn’t expect of what he is or a creatures like that would be appear in a story.

Then the adventure begins…

As what I’ve said it’s a lil bit too highscoolie for me because I was expecting a lil bit darker of the plot.. I dunno if I just read so many YA that’s why I want something more.

I like how the story runs, it’s not that slow pace it’s not that fast pace. And I think I need more history or the origin to build the foundation of the story. and ohhh! the action packed magic! it’s really intense! …and I need more romance. 😅

I like how the writing is direct to the point. The problem is I was a lil bit confused of the changing perspectives.

The kinds of witches is also unique, to battle witch, warlock, to sorcerer, necromancer. well, I’m not gonna tell you what Melissa is, but well, it’s kinda unique.

Over all, I enjoyed this witchcrafting book. the ending is pretty satisfying.

…and I think if there’s another book of this novel, it’s gonna be another adventure with Melissa more matured and fierce. yay!

MOORIGAD: dragon collection by Debra Kristi ðŸ’™ðŸ’š

This book was provided by the author for book review,  I’ll review it as honest as I could be.

So hi bookish people, HALLOWEEN is fast approaching so yahhh! Put a little spice to your reading.  Read this magical circus feeling. This book is the complete TIE-IN 3 books of the AGE OF THE HYBRID series. What’s special about this book is, it has BONUS chapters that helps you really dig in into the story.

So her’s my honest review.. . . . (It’s short but I hope it helps you to try the book.)

1) THE MOORIGAD DRAGON: ⭐⭐⭐⭐/4stars

download-3Debra Kristi wel comed us in a world of super natural creatures where performing into a carnival. THE MYSTIC’S CARNIVAL. The story centered to Kyra; a Moorigad dragon (half fire and water dragon)
The story runs of love story of Kyra, Torn between 2 handsome men; Sebastian, a tarot reader (…well im not going to tell you what he is….it is a SURPRISE) and Marcus, the mystery guy

I honestly love the story but i think there’s more, it has potential, if Kristi just put some MORE supernatural creatures. I love how fast pace it is. the easy writing and the uniqueness of it, since it’s my 1st time reading YA with DRAGONS.

I think if you’re a first timer reading DRAGONS, it’s a good read.

images-20For the second time around, Debra bring us to the world she made. This book has the perspective of handsome REAPER Sebastian, Yes, He is a reaper! ….and here’s a thing, he is not an ordinary reaper….well it’s kinda predictable but it’s still good ( i won’t tell, just read)

So yeah, he’s a REAPER, the book show us how the reaper works, How’s it done,…and well the adventure of SEB… the adventure of Seb that makes you angry in a good way.

You’ll SCREAM of the TWIST and TURNS of the book, Your questions from book 1 will be answered but it turns out that there’s another BIG BREATHTAKING question that you will CRAVE for more.. It’s like WHAT? WHAT? OMIGAD MOORIGAD! you’re going to fall in your sit!

You’ll get excited of what will happen next.. . . THE ENDING IS UNPREDICTABLE!!!!

3) PLIGHT OF THE DRAGON: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐/5stars

images-21In this electrifying 3rd book. The ROMANCE is in the air… like ooooolalala. I was really amazed how the story progress, I think in a very short time, the characters really matured. And I tell you, it gets better and better! It’s like ROMEO and JULIET meets DRAGONS and REAPERS… . . . .

The ending is pretty satisfying, I LOVE IT!

I gave it a 5 stars on good reads but it’s more likely 4.5stars.

Because i really think there’s more. The author can really give more out of the story and the uniquene of the theme.

Who’s expecting that a CARNIVAL, DRAGONS & REAPERS will compliment, for me, it’s really SEXY combination! but i think i really want to know more about the CARNIVAL, and if it introduce more supernatural creatures, it’ll be PERFECT,

If you’re experimenting on YA, it’s a GOOD reads.

..This book was provided by the author Melissa Wright for a book review, ..and that’s not affects my opinion of the books. I’ll be honest with it as I could be.

This edition is a book-tie-in of the 3 books of the DESCENDANTS series, it includes BOUND BY PROPHECY, SHIFTING FATE, and REIGN OF SHADOWS.

I’ll divided my review into three since this book is a 3 in 1. and the reviews of each book will be in particularly in order.

review: ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4.5/5 stars

unnamed-6I do like the storyline, from the 1st chapter I was hooked by the intensity of it. i do love the writing style and it is easy good reads.

The halfway of the book is the TWIST that I really haven’t seen its coming and I did shouted in my room like “WHAAAAAT?!” so yahh. It’s pretty exciting!

The story goes with Aern, the male protagonist of the story, he needs to defeat his own brother to protect the chosen one, Brianna. but a long his way he meets the twin sister of the chosen one, Emily….

I’m not gonna spoil you. so read. Hehe.

I really love the characters, I was attached to them and since the main protagonist is male, it really trigger me to read the book since I rarely read male’s POV in YA now a days.

I didn’t gave it 5 stars since I was a little confuse somehow, I mean the details was not that established well, like if they’re not humans, Who/what are they? Then What is the Prophecy? And the conflict, war, power…etc.

I don’t want you to be discouraged of what I’ve said but that’s the questions that the book leave on my mind.

I think those mysteries is the reason why I keep reading and enjoying the book. I think that’s the style of the author to pull her readers to keep digging in to the story.

If your favorite genre is URBAN FANTASY, I do recommend this book, but prepare yourself as you finished the book there’s so many questions unanswered. So I’m hoping I’ll get the answers on the 2nd book since it’s fast paced.

Review: ⭐⭐⭐ 3/5 stars

shiftingfateOn this book is the continuation where Bound by Prophecy left behind, but instead of Aern’s perspective, it was the POV of Brianna the twin sister of Emily the Chosen one.

This book has so much visions, images, puzzles, etc since Brianna is a prophet. Well she needs protection, so Aern introduce his Best friend Logan to her to be a body guard. She’s searching for answers and clues……

…..for what? For the prophecy?

After reading the book, there’s still so much questions that’s unanswered. i dunno if it’s just me? I’m a lil bit confused now, I think I lost track. I’m just being honest.

I do like the connection between Brianna & Logan but the relationship between Aern and Emily is still more sexy… and by the way, I rarely saw Aern and Emily. Ugh!

Sorry, I so much love the 1st book than this sequel.

I’m still intrigued about the prophecy and the….dragons? or are they really a Descendants from the Dragons.

I really look forward for the conclusion, I hope I’ll get some satisfying answers.

🔹🔹🔹🔹🔹🔹🔹🔹🔹🔹🔹🔹🔹🔹🔹REIGN OF SHADOWS
Review: ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4/5 stars

unnamed-7The conclusion of the Descendants series is mind blowing!

This book has a multiple POV’s but most likely, Brianna’s perspective. since she’s a Prophet, it’s focuses on her visions.

The gang is facing an epic battle, since Morgan is defeated, an ancient shadows arise!! Then And it turns out that the twins aren’t what they thought they were. ….I’m not going to tell you what really happens, since I hate spoilers.

There’s still some of my questions an answered, and I think the details is uncompleted, (I think I need a novella) but the ending is pretty satisfying. And still it entertains me. Over all. I enjoyed the series.

Over all… images-4

…the whole book is sexy, I like the plot, but if the details were established well, maybe I’ll give it perfect five stars but for now… I’ll give it 4.5 stars. 😊

Kalifus Rising (book2)
Review: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5/5

Oh my! OH MY! what the . . . what a cheesey Ham pizza and a chocolate cookies and cream shake! Yahhhh! If this book is a food? This is so delicious!

We’re back in Alane Adams magical adventure in Norse Mythology world. As what I’ve said in my review in book 1, her writing is brilliant as it is.

In this book I really saw the characters really developed in a way that the story line is not just only for kiddos, I think teens will also enjoy this. I mean there’s a “HEROES OF OLYMPUS” ambience.

In the beginning of book 2, It was a good start, the plot in the middle is boom, then the ending is BOOM!

(If you haven’t read the 1st book. Stop reading this, because there’s a kinda spoiler on the next what I’ll say.. I can only tell you that I really enjoyed this series, …and it gets better and better and BETTER! so, read the 1st book: LEGEND OF ORKNEY: RED SUN and I hope you enjoy as much as I do….and ah! Highly recommended for kiddos!)

The cover speaks the inside story of the book. The characters are reflected of what they’ve become.

The story goes on a prophesy. Where Sam will be facing his inner evil darkness, he became the KALIFUS, the witches used him as a weapon.

Then here’s our human friends Keely & Howie (I never expected them to be back in book 2, so it surprices me and it was definitely awesome to be part of Odin’s chosen ones.)

Yes! That is Keely on the cover in boy cut! Like OMIGAD! unpredictable! She’s the SEEKER and saw some visions that made them to be chosen ones.

Howie become the PROTECTOR of Skara Brae, and There’s Leo who become a SACRIFICE, means seeking a powerful artifact in the underworld… that means he’ll be facing an ancient enemy. …think…think….think… who could that be?! Like OMIGAD! think of a Norse God. Right! Yahhhhhhh! Unpredictable and I am so excited how will they defeat the enemy on book 3 since Odin is. . . . Well, find out what happens!

I can only say: “MS. ALANE ADAMS! CREATE THE BOOK 3 NOW” hihihihihi

So, that’s it! Our four heroes has different agendas and adventure to take, facing ang solving problems.

I enjoyed multiple POV’s, love the fast paced… and ah! This is the longest review I ever made, so from that, you could really say, how much I love the series! I so much anticipate how they’ll work on book 3, yay! 😍😍😍

CHILDREN OF DARKNESS by Courtney Shockey

unnamed (3)

REVIEW:  ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4.5/5 stars

This is my first time reading a book from Courtney Shockey and I would say, she has a good writing style.

Children of Darkness is a horror genre, and I think the plot in every chapters can really be made into movies, I mean in my opinion she has the formula of a horror movie.

The story reminds me of the “NUTCRACKER” it’s not connected or related to that fairy tale but it just reminds me of it in a more darker way.

The book is pretty skinny, and that means, it is easy reads. I enjoyed the story as I imagine it running like a movie. and I will tell you the story gets darker and Darker and DARKER! and well, the ending is D.A.R.K.E.R. and I so love it! Unpredictable!

The reason why I only gave it 4 stars, (more likely 4.5 stars) is it’s too fast to end, I want more. 😍

unnamed (5)

Review:  ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4.5/5 stars

I’ve been straggling if I’ll give this book a 4 or 5 stars but I decided to gave it 4.5 stars.

Why? Since this is my 2nd time reading about cyborgs this book really catches my attention and entertains me but I’m looking for more ACTION. Sorry, it didn’t meet my expectation.

Anyway, I do love the writing style, it is a good reads and light for a sci-fi.

as the story goes on, I like how the author make her story of cyborgs a TWIST! yeah, I do love the concept, I mean the idea of different types of cyborgs is really cool! AWESOME!

The story runs on what really is our protagonist is; SCARLET LOCK, is she a Cyborg? Or a human? Thats the whole point of the book. the mystery that will keep you reading until the end. But it’s kinda contemporary-ish for me.

Other things I love about this book is the characters. I mean there’s a lot of POV (…and that’s my FAVORITE! ) I mean the author really gave her characters a realistic personality (but that’s just my opinion, that’s what I feel, I’m attached to them, really liked it!)

The author really established her story well, I would say this is brilliant!… but I dunno if this book is just a stand alone, I mean the ending is UNPREDICTABLE and one of my most favorite ending ever! DRAMATIC!

I do believe the author can continue the story and make more TWIST! but as what I’ve said this is one of my favorite ending so I’m kinda satisfied with it. And I would say, I see this on a MOVIE!

I recommend this book if you have reading slump on scifi since it’s not to heavy for that genre and surely you’ll really enjoy it.

These books was provided by the author ALICE RACHEL for book review, ..and that’s not affects my opinion of the books. I’ll be honest with it as I could be.

First things first, I do like Alice Rachel because she’s not only an author but an artist also. I adore her since it’s kinda rare to be an author-artist in the industry. I do believed that artist has so much story to tell, so. I salute her! 😍

review: ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4.5/5 stars

unnamed (3)When I read the book, I don’t have any idea what the story brings me. I thought it’s a contemporary romance since it begins with wedding arrangement story, I mean your typical cutie patotie love story but it’s not just that. This book is a dystopia minus the sci-fi ambience YA has become into this kind of genre.

Alice Rachel bring us back into the common issue from the past where women is not treated equally. From that storyline, it’s kinda sensitive for me. And I think you’ll really learned something out from it.

As what I’ve said it’s a dystopian genre (so expect there’s rebellion uprising thingie) set in contemporary plot. And for me it’s okay because it’s light I mean not too heavy for a dystopian genre.

This book reminds me of MATCHED (by Ally Condie) meets CHEMICAL GARDEN (by Lauren Destefano). I hate comparing books but in this situation, I mean it in a good way. because Alice really did established her story well.

The plot is kinda slow for me but it did well for the world building process. the slow pacing of it makes it easy to read.

The characters is relatetable somehow. The writing is more detailed. I mean more interpersonal. I dunno if it’s just the personality of the protagonist or really the writing style of the author.

Over all. I enjoyed the book and love the forbidden romance of it.

LOSING GROUND (novella #1)
review: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5/5stars

unnamed (5)This book is a novella that tells a story about Stephen (I’m not going to tell you who he is since I hate to spoil anyone. the only thing I can tell is that he’s connected to the male protagonist of the series) … and in this book also, it has a short story included about Willow’s perspec- tive. (the love interest of Stephen)

I gave perfect 5 stars of this book because this novella is brilliant other than novellas I ever read. As you read this book, it’s also a 1st person writing style same as the book 1. But, I would like to say that Alice really did great job establishing her own character’s voice. Yas! The VOICE! I find the writing style of this book kinda poetic and lyrical than the book 1, Alice did gave her characters own voice… original!

I enjoyed more of Stephen (sorry Chi but I like you also, but not as much as Stephen. Hihihihihi) Alice tormented me by reading this novella, I mean torment in a good way, ……because it really gripped my heart, (I wanna cry!)
this Drama is heart gripping for a shortest time. THUMBS UP!

I hope my review helps you to pick the book. ☺ hoping you’ll enjoy as much as i do. Hey! and…
